This is a gorgeous handwoven 14k gold Nantucket basket vintage charm/pendant. The basket finished with a swing handle and the lid opens and closes securely. The lid of the basket is ornamented with an oval Scrimshaw insert depicting Ship and Lighthouse. Opens to reveal a miniature replica of a penny. Inside of the basket inscribed: "I'M A TINY NANTUCKET BASKET HAND WOVEN AND STOUT DON'T LOSE ME OR ABUSE ME AND I'LL NEVER WEAR OUT". Basket with handle measures 7/8" x 13/16" x 11/16" (22.5mm x 20.5mm x 17.3mm) without loop and bale and weighs 6.2 grams without penny. Bottom marked American Scrimshaw 14k. It is in very good condition.
